Few years ago, a friend of mine asked me to help her out with finding the best travel deal for her planned holiday to Europe. She was going to visit her friend's and family scattered all over the old continent.
Why did she ask me? She knew that I was a bargain hunter and always on a lookout for the best deal for the buck. I would like to think that I am pretty good at it.
I agreed to help and suggested that we try and look for the airfare that would allow her to stop at more places along the way. We both agreed to explore that possibility since flying from North America to any destination overseas is at least an eight hour flight.
Interestingly, it did not take me a long time to find the bargain for what we were looking for. What sort of a deal was it?
I managed to find one of those around the World airfares where you were allowed to stop at five destinations anywhere in the World for up to one year. The only other condition was that the whole trip could not exceed 26,000 miles.
My friend was able to book her airfare within couple of day.
So, for few hundred dollars extra she was able to go to Europe and also stop at more destinations and basically see the World. She ended up going to Asia, Europe and the North America.
My tips:
Speak to your travel agent and ask about around the World ticket.
Search the internet for the airfare that suits your needs
Demand the best price, competition is fierce in the travel world at the moment.
