Our Cruise to Alaska.

We bought a cruise trip's package into Alaska last year while travelling accros North America  and flew to Anchorage.

It was a wonderfull voyage !

We rented a van and did our individual plans for the next few days here. First of all we went to Denali National park, it's about 240 miles from the city. We stayed at "Salmon Bake Hotel". Twice a day we got a breakfast and dinner and the food was wonderful every time, with plenty of salmon and halibut I like mostly.

We went to the Mt McKinney by van, which is near 90 miles from the hotel. The beaty of Alaska while traveling by road can't be discribed. Stopped in the small village and the native nice girl met us and she was showing their ancestors mode of life. Gone Fairbanks and happening to Valdez, taken the pipeline every way
to Valdez. Gone on "Prince William Sound" 6 1/2 hr cruise - saw sea lions, whale, variety of birds and glacier. I would advise these cruise to everyone.

We met an "oldtimer", a man of 82 yrs, supposed he moved to Alaska to dig up away from public, and now "people" were coming to him. We had to laugh to ourselves, as he sure was open to us.

Personally, I think he enjoyed "people". Loved the local weather, (good change) because we stay in Houston and we loved the individuality of having daylite so various time of the day. We also enjoyed being on the
highway and driving for miles and not having to deal with traffic,  crowds, etc, just seeking at beautiful Alaska. I would recommend  to everyone that has the privilege, to go to Alaska and you will not be disappointed, if you go on a cruise or fly here and rent a van as we did.

The cruise left me emotion very rested, peaceful and with a  particular emotion near Alaska in addition the wish to go back someday.
