What does Juneau have to provide the voyager in the North America ?
What is it about the town, the place that would attract you to travel the "lower 48"?
How about the sun shining, bright blue sky's, giant mountain lagoon and green rain wildwood. It's may be described as "A Wild Beauty"!
The good old days of Juneau, as many similiar cities in Alaska is connect with gold. What traveler can keep from the lure and the folk stories that is the Alaskan Gold Rush?
Juneau sits seperate Douglas Island at the middle of the Gastineau Channel. Juneau has been mentioned to as Americas most beatiful place in Alaska. Those of us who travel here regulary actually agree with
these sentence.
To confirm this, I suggest to travel to the Mendenhall Glacier. The glacier settle down for 12 miles among 2 mountains since come into sight its ice beauty face at Mendenhall Lake. And keep in mind this is not a Glacier that should be walked alone, parted from native scouts.
It is difficult to imagine the travel to Alaska without fishing. Sport and relax fishing here is a great pleasure and a fortune for all travelers young and old, the guys and ladies as well. The best time for fishing in saltwater in Alaska is the time through May till September. In these
time there are a plenty of King Salmons, Coho, Pinks and Crabs here.
Next to the fishing you want to take the Historic Juneau Gold Mine Tour. You may see the Alaska Gastineau Mill built in 1913 and as far from now it was known as the biggest gold mill in the world. It's too cold here regulary, so be ready with warm cloth for the trip which can take you about 4 hours.
And of cource while travel to Alaska you need to see the grizzly bears. One of the best place for that reason is Orca Enterprises in southeast Alaska. You'll be able to see the bigest brown bears in their nature. I promise, you'll never forget the wild nature of Alaska.
Be sure, when time to eat you'll find a perfect restaurants here, with the seafood along with unique Angus beef if prefer. The wonderful food - I can say in a few words.
